I just purchased my 50 a month ago and when I got all the service records I saw a remote start was installed when the car was kickoff purchased. if I hit lock three times it starts using the manufacturing plant key flim-flam. Non sure if it is the same kit but it works like a champ and I like it quite a bit. the i downside is the range is that of the factory trick, not very far. but I like that I don't need a separate fob.
I know this is going to audio strange, but if you hold the end of the fob to your chin the range increases some.
I hold, the mentum play a trick on certainly works well. I use a bent metal coat hanger which helps as well that I go along adjacent to my front end door during the winter months.

LOL, I did the mentum move yesterday after dinner with my wife and she looked at me like I was smoking crack. Information technology did add about 20' to the range...

No It can only be turned off using the push button to showtime button.
Been looking into remote starters myself, glad I plant this thread! Coincidentally my last name is Fortin and then this product must be adept lol

Hello all, I bought one of these Fortin Starter Kits from Ebay, it's on it's way. I started looking around for a place in Nashville to have it installed. A local place called Cartronics here in Nashville quoted me 220$ bucks to install this affair. That seems pretty high to me. And that identify ever seems pretty shady to me. My normal place which is Hifi Buys, does not practise car alert or remote starter installs anymore. Information technology seems similar this Fortin kit is somewhat plug-n-play. If anyone out there has any suggestions of someone in Nashville who could install this for me, I would be much obliged.
